Two routes to a gold finish

Gold plating and PVD gold both produce a gold appearance, but they use different processes.

Gold plating is an electroplating process in which gold is deposited from a plating solution. PVD gold is applied in a vacuum by vapour deposition.

Appearance

Both can look excellent. The tone, the base finish and the lighting all affect the result, so comparing physical samples is the most reliable way to choose.

Which to choose

The right option depends on the base material, the component, the setting and the look you want. Share your requirement and we will recommend a suitable process.
